Pink, polka dots, and construction...oh my!!

But, while you are here please check out these girly birthday invitations we designed for a good friend of Lisa's.  Amy's sweet little Abby is turning one and we had the pleasure of coming up with some ideas of her invitations.  Amy wanted pink and polka dots.  I think we definitely captured her request in our samples.  

Sample 1:  folded card with buttons

Sample 1 was fun and different!  We used tons of pink, but also added the buttons and baker's twine to give it some definition.  We had to had the big 1 on the front so everyone would know what the occasion was.  :)

Sample 2:  The Big 1

 Sample 2 was simple, but fun for the eye.  We loved the large 1 at the top.  It instantly tells you what the card is about.  Amy picked a really cute saying for the invitations too!

Sample 3:  Polka Dots and Rhinestones

Sample 3 was fun because of the shape Lisa chose.  My mind is running a blank at the moment, but I love that shape and that she added rhinestones to give it a bit of texture.  

Designing and making invitations for a first birthday is always fun, but to make them for someone like Amy made it even better.  Amy was fun to work with and gave us the ability to use our creativity to come up with something perfect for Abby.

Welcome Adalyn Grace!!

Okay, so I have seriously been a huge slacker when it comes to our blog.  Obviously, since the last time I posted was the end of August, but seriously people I've been super busy.  Having a newborn is hard work with not a lot of sleep, so hopefully you can forgive me.  :)  

There has been lots of invitation and card making in the last 5 months.  So many things to show you, but first...drum roll please!!!!

Adalyn Grace was welcomed into the world on Jan. 3rd at 5:29 p.m. by my partner Lisa and her husband Brett!!!  She was a week late, but perfect in every way!  Sonoma and Tanner are very proud doggie brothers!  She is absolutely beautiful and is already growing like a weed.  Cameron is in love with his future wife.

Welcome Baby card I made for her mommy and daddy!

Cameron was very excited that Adalyn finally decided to make her appearance.  

I have to be honest and say that I have a bit of baby clothes and hair bow envy!  Boy clothes are cute, but girls are absolutely precious.  I love seeing the bows and headbands Lisa puts on her for pictures.  Melts my heart!

Cameron decided after weeks of trying to roll over from his back to belly that he would do it for Adalyn.  Come on dude...what's Mommy...chopped liver?

We have a lot of stuff to share with you over the next few weeks, but I felt this post was the most important.  So many exciting things have happened to us lately and Adalyn and Cameron top the list!  Stay tuned!
